Firefly came to life over 15 years ago, initially a tiny shop of no more than 400 sq. ft. in the charming town of Bridgton, ME. Now there exists over 1,600 sq. ft. filled to the brim with colorful clothing and jewelry. This is shopping therapy at its finest. You will be impressed by the generous and unique selection of items and the friendly staff. Most notable is that Firefly carries over 30 lines of clothing and jewelry made in the USA and many Fair Trade goods from around the world.
It's creator, Jessica Jones took many paths before opening a shop, including house cleaning, waitressing, food preparation, delivery girl, toothbrush packager, college student, pilot and finally a wholesaler distributing her own line of Fair Trade jewelry from Bali. All these paths, combined with meeting the love of her life led her to opening a shop in Bridgton, ME. It was an unintentional career path, even after following four generations of shopkeepers. She delights in finding things unique for her boutique and continues to get hot tips from her mother Pam who designed and silk screened fabrics and created clothing in the Caribbean for many years. She lends Jess much insight to classic designs women love to wear. They find pleasure in sharing fun and fashionable outfits with Firefly customers and friends. You will find over 30 clothing and jewelry lines are made in the USA at Firefly, plus many items that are Fair Trade approved. There are just too many things to mention, you'll have to see it for yourself!
